About the Candidate:
Caroline Gleich is a world-renowned professional ski mountaineer, endurance athlete, and activist for the environment and social justice. She has summited some of the highest peaks in the world including Everest/Chomolungma and Cho Oyu, the sixth-highest peak in the world. She is the first woman to have skied all the lines in “The Chuting Gallery,” a steep skiing guidebook to the Wasatch. Caroline is also a committed activist for social and environmental justice, testifying in front of both chambers of Congress on the impacts of climate change on winter sports among other major accomplishments. Gleich, who is one of the youngest Senate candidates in the nation, has already made local and national headlines for raising nearly $400k in Q1 (more than nearly every Republican in the race), and for her viral launch video which earned her a mention in the New York Times’s list of top ten 2024 Senate races to watch.
Job Overview:
The Committee to Elect Caroline Gleich is seeking a scheduler to support the campaign. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is polished, organized, detail-oriented, and able to navigate a fast-paced work environment. This position will report to the Campaign Manager.
Responsibilities:
Confirming appointments for Caroline Gliech, preparing the daily schedule, and distributing copies to staff
Preparing detailed daily itineraries, including important numbers, locations, and contact names
Preparing monthly projected schedules in coordination with the Campaign Manager
Researching and securing potential events that align with initiatives relevant to the campaign’s portfolio and coordinating with campaign and finance staff to confirm event details, programming, and event audience changes
Preparing monthly and quarterly scheduling reports; analyzing and ensuring data is tracking to strategic plan and scheduling goals
Preparing materials for and leading weekly scheduling meetings with staff
Making reservations for air travel, ground transportation, and lodging, as needed
Reviewing and responding to all invitations, official mail, written correspondence, and phone calls and maintains a system for tracking all correspondence and invitation requests
Qualifications:
Previous experience scheduling or staffing a senior executive
Familiarity with campaigns or electoral work
Ability to maintain grace under fire, multi-task, and prioritize between multiple projects
Extreme attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Utmost professionalism and respect for confidentiality
Team player with excellent communication skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule which can include long hours, nights, and weekends
